At the 10th Trilateral Meeting on border-related issues between the European External Action Service (EEAS), the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine held in Kiev last Tuesday, the Head of EUBAM Mr Udo Burkholder underlined the progress made in issues such as border demarcation, security along the Moldova-Ukraine border, and Jointly Operated Border Crossing Points.

Odessa, 21 December 2011 - During the 71st External Coordination Meeting the Deputy Head of EUBAM Mr Slawomir Pichor formally donated to Moldovan and Ukrainian partner services software and lap-top computers. The donation is aimed at improving analytical and managerial capacities of border agencies.

The European Union Border Assistance Mission to Moldova and Ukraine yesterday had the privilege of hosting the Political and Security Committee (PSC) of the European Union at its headquarters in Odessa. The Committee’s visit to EUBAM came in between high-level meetings it conducted in Chisinau and Kiev with senior government representatives there.

Students from both sides of the Moldova-Ukraine border have gathered in Chisinau for the opening of the fifth ‘Youth against Corruption’ school, organised by the European Union Border Assistance Mission to Moldova and Ukraine (EUBAM) in cooperation with the Centre for Combating Economic Crimes and Corruption (CCECC) of the Republic of Moldova and the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.

In Warsaw yesterday, EUBAM formalized its partnership with the Central Anti-Corruption Bureau of Poland (CBA) by signing a Joint Statement of Cooperation.
