EUBAM contributes to the improvement of analytical and managerial capacities of the partner services

Odessa, 21 December 2011 - During the 71st External Coordination Meeting the Deputy Head of EUBAM Mr Slawomir Pichor formally donated to Moldovan and Ukrainian partner services software and lap-top computers. The donation is aimed at improving analytical and managerial capacities of border agencies. 

The analytical software packages SmartDraw, handed over to the border guard and customs services of Moldova and Ukraine would help risk analyses units to visualize data, thus, enhancing the quality of the analysis of the security situation on the border.

The thirty lap-top computers with necessary software are being donated to the Moldovan and Ukrainian border guard services to support the trainees of the international course for border guard local commanders, which is currently being delivered under an EUBAM /DCAF cooperative initiative to develop the professional capabilities of middle managers.
