Odessa children learn more about EU



March 2, Odessa – Experts of the Field Office Odessa Sea Port visited Secondary School #84. During the visit the experts were able not only to share their knowledge about EU but also to see how well Odessa school children know history and culture of Europe.

Customs expert Halina Spanopulus, Poland delivered a presentation, telling children about the history of EU, structure and goals of the Mission and the importance of work of border services.

The EUBAM experts also participated in a jury, evaluating knowledge and artistic skills which the schoolchildren demonstrated during a role-play game focused on EU.

The meeting was conducted in a frame of Joint Statement on Cooperation signed between EUBAM and Odessa City Council. The goal of the cooperation is raising awareness of Odessa community on European Union and its values, cultures of EU member states and the work of the Mission.
